All of us fit in the private boat we hired to meet us at the pier in Puerta Vallarta and take us to Yelapa. The old timers of the retreat encourage the new participants that all would go well as people were a bit surprised at the size of the boat. There were many laughs and sounds of glee as we rode the water to the hotel pier in Yelapa. What a week of Yoga and Birding was had by all! From making homemade tamales with our adopted Mexican family, to whale and dolphin watching, bird walks with Cody, a hike to the waterfall with a spontaneous swim, yoga classes each day, delicious food and the village teens folk dance performance to end our week. I found I could not take pictures and lead the retreat at the same time. Lots of great photos were taken by our group and as those are sent to us, I’ll be posting them on this site. Stay tuned.
We can’t wait to welcome our friends back next year and we invite those of you who have not had this unique experience to join us. It’s a great group with lots of laughter, joy, appreciation of nature and culture. More pictures and stories coming soon.
